Donation from Brad Walker (B112)

Brad Walker has donated his new book, Contemporary Fused Glass.
This book is the expanded version of Contemporary Warm Glass and is 30%
larger, totally rewritten and with new information on dozens of fusing and slumping
techniques.  The auction copy will be signed by the author.

Janet is on the Board of Directors for the AGG and

book Strangest Genius;
signed by the authors, Lucy Costigan & Michael Cullen.


This latest book will add to the cause of putting Harry Clarke among the greatest visual artists in the field of glass and book illustration where he rightly belongs, building on Nicola Gordon Bowe's earlier achievements in that regard.

Donation from Ellen Miret (A112)

The work is a lenticular image-Chapter 14 of the Dhammapada-Teachings of the Buddha.  "The One Who is Awake".  Ellen made it with 2 photos taken in Tibet and 2 fused glass heads.  


"The images come and go in a lenticular form: the viewer must physically interact (move) with the lenticular image to see the whole picture... and be mindful of others, a working metaphor for how we live in the world."

An Afternoon at the Met; a private tour...
Drew Anderson, Conservator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Sherman Fairchild Center for Objects Conservation has donated his time to conduct a private tour for a party of four (4).
"The tour would consist of behind the scene and galleries in the Objects Conservation Department.  We treat sculpture, furniture, ceramics, bronzes and a host of other materials both modern and ancient.  Anyone with an interest in art and conservation would, I am sure, be interested."
